Gratitude

Friday, November 28th, 2008

Because I didn’t really think this idea through, I have no images to give you on the day that would have been most obvious.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I did come up with this awesome idea of a picture post showing all of the people, things, and ideas that I am thankful for. Therefore, once a week, a post will be dedicated something I am most grateful for. And, I think my first of the series will be on my beloved, Pushkin. Those of you who know her understand why I am so happy to have her in my life.

Hope everyone Stateside had a wonderfully fulfilling Thanksgiving!

New Blog! Yippee!

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Welcome, dear reader, to the blog of my photographic journey in the world! Thank you very much for stopping by.

Let me start off with a little photo autobio:
-I was born in London, but have spent most of my life in the States.
-I’m still a UK citizen/US permanent resident at 26.
-On April 9th, I’ll be 27. EEEP!
-Despite my age, I’m still a college student.
-As a student, I am persuing a BFA in Documentary Photography.
-My favourite things to photograph are my cat, bright red signs on a clear day, trees as the seasons change, and people having a gloriously great time.
-I love B&W photography, especially as that’s how I really started…
-…But, I am starting to really adore colour photography. There is something magical about the colour red.
[-I love lists. But who doesn’t?]

Photography is a great medium and I am excited to get more in depth in the field. There are so many paths I can follow, and I’ll be happy with [almost] anything that crosses my path.

Stay tuned for updates on my photographic endeavours and picture posts. In the meantime, head over to my online portfolio and take a peek at some of my work. I’m still working on that site, so please excuse any absence of work for the meantime, thanks!
